I am a math lover. Roughly speaking, I particularly want to understand low-dimensional topology phenomena and how they relate to physical theories. Besides mathematics and physics, I am curious about reasoning and human's mind.

About My Name
As you may have noticed, the annotation above my Hanzi (=Han-character) name is by no means similar to my official romanized one. That's because I am a Teochew person, and it's the pronunciation in my mother tongue. Though my family is bilingual in Mandarin and Teochew (in fact multilingual, including Cantonese), they prefer to call my name in Teochew.
Each being a kind of Chinese, Teochew and Mandarin share the same writing system, with differences in pronunciation and slightly grammartical and pragmatical subtleties. The official romanization of names is legally forced to be Mandarin Pinyin in China; but if I were able, I would have chosen romanized Teochew instead.
Moreover, since Chinese first names are typically made from serveral Hanzi, each of which has its own meaning seperately, it makes more sense to use a hyphen to connect the syllables to be the written name.
